How old do I have to be to start Driver's Education in New Hampshire?
You Must be 15 and 9 months of age on or before the first regualarly scheduled classroom session of the course in which you are enrolling in.
How old do I have to be to Start Drivers Ed in Maine?
You have to be 15 years of age to appy for a Maine learners permit. If you are betwein the age of 15 and 17 you must complete a driver's education course before apllying for a permit.
Does the classroom have to be completed to start behind-the-wheel lessons?
No, you can schedule drive times as soon as you have gone to one class.
Do I need a permit to start classes?
Maine Requirements: No permit is required to take the driver's ed class. The student must be at least 15 years old by the first day of class.
New Hampshire Requirements: No permit is required to take the driver's ed class. The student must be at least 15 and 9 months by the first day of class.
How long does it take to complete the drivers education class?
Our course is a 5-week program. It typically takes each student 5 weeks to complete the course.
What happens if I miss a class?
Our drivers' education program's attendance policy complies with New Hamshire and Maine state regulations. Students are not allowed to miss classroom instruction except for good cause that the instructors determine. No more than 4 hours or 2 classes can be missed. If a student misses a class, it is mandatory under state rules to attend a make-up session, which they have 6 months to complete. If the class cannot be made up, the student will be given an assignment to make up that is equivalent to the class material missed.

What is your payment policy?
Payment in full must be made before driving lessons can be scheduled (after the 3rd class). Your account must have a zero balance before your last driving lesson can be scheduled.
What is your refund policy?
If a student breaks Bee Safe Driving School policy to the point that they continue to disrupt the effective teaching of this course, endangering the safety of the other students, violating our zero-tolerance harassment policy, or engaging in any other behaviors that we deem worthy of dismissal, there will be no refunds. All other extenuating circumstances may or may not be considered.
What safety features do I have in my car?
Extra brake—this is installed on the passenger's side of the vehicle, allowing the instructor to intervene and assist with braking when necessary, enhancing safety during training sessions.
Extra Mirrors—The additional mirrors are placed to improve visibility around the vehicle, reducing blind spots and helping drivers be more aware of their surroundings.

Do you charge a cancellation fee?
If you fail to show up for a lesson or do not cancel or reschedule on our website at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a $75 late cancellation fee.
Behind-the-Wheel
Do you offer home pick-up and drop-off?
We pick up and drop off at Bee Safe Driving School and a couple of high schools in the area. For unique accommodation, call our office.
Will I have the same instructor for every lesson?
Our scheduling software lets you see all available driving lessons and who is teaching them. If the lessons are open, you may choose the same instructor for each lesson or try a different instructor.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my driving lesson?
If you'd like to reschedule a lesson, you can log into your account on our website. You must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $75.00 late cancellation fee.
How do I schedule a behind-the-wheel lessons?
Log into your student account on our website. Choose an available time.
Can I request a specific driving instructor?
Our scheduling software lets you see all available driving lessons and who is teaching them. If your preferred instructor is open, you can select them for a lesson.
When can I start my behind-the-wheel lessons?
New Hampshire: You should already be driving with an adult over 25 years of age with a valid driver's license. With the driving instructor, you can start driving after the first class.
Maine: You can start your behind-the-wheel training after the 3rd class.
Do I need to have my own car insurance for behind-the-wheel?
No, you are covered under our commercial insurance during all behind-the-wheel training.
How fast can I complete behind-the-wheel lessons?
This depends on your scheduling flexibility and instructor availability. You can take one 2-hour behind-the-wheel lesson daily and only schedule one drive at a time.
Can I use my own car?
No, our vehicles have safety features that don't come in standard cars.
Are your instructors licensed?
Yes, each of our instructors is licensed by the state to teach classroom and behind-the-wheel training to all age groups.
